Palestine Gardens Agricultural Company, one of Sinokrot Holding Companies, represented by its Director, Eng. Mo’men Sinokrot obtained the Halal Certificate from the Palestine Standards Institution. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy in Ramallah, in the presence of Minister Khaled Al-Osaili, in his capacity as Chairman of the institution’s Board of Directors, Director of the institution Haider Hajja, the Chairman of the Palestinian Federation of Industries Bassam Walweel in Ramallah and his deputy, Ali Al Hayek in Gaza.
The Eng. Mo’men Sinokrot said, “The Palestinian Halal Certificate is one of the most important and globally recognized certificates, and it is considered a passport for the Palestinian product, especially for Muslim consumers in Europe, East Asia, and America.”
He continued that the Halal Certificate is added to Palestine Gardens Agricultural Company’s balance of international certificates obtained, including the ISO 22000 Certificate, the International Taste Certificate, and other certificates.
Sinokrot clarified that giving the certificate depends on various standards set by the Palestine Standards Institution, which follows international standards, including the cleanliness of the product, the manufacturing factories, and the machines used, in addition to the fact that the product is free of alcohol and animal gelatin.
Haider Hajjah, Director of the Palestine Standards institution, said, “The institution conducts product tests periodically and throughout the validity period of the certificate and from different sites in order to ensure their agreement with the technical specifications of each product or service, as well as to monitor the application of certification systems within the establishments that have the certificate.
It is worth noting that Palestine Gardens Agricultural Company is one of the largest exporters of Medjool dates to more than 26 countries around the world.
